The Digital leadership programme offers you experiences across our Group of Companies, with roles that cover a range of IT disciplines and continuously develop and grow your leadership potential. You will get the opportunity to work in our central IT team and learn fundamental skills in project management, strategic planning, risk management and service management, before joining one of our business IT teams and developing your commercial and customer-focused skills within the context of an outsourced IT environment. With a focus on Digital leadership, previous experience isn’t essential, and throughout the duration of the programme we work with you to develop your technical, commercial and leadership skills .
I always wanted to work in IT management rather than the technical side. I was looking for a leadership programme rather than “just” a job.
I have been working in three different departments of the company undertaking roles such as IT Manager and IT Consultant. I’m currently working as an IT Project Manager.
To date, I have achieved the PRINCE 2 Practitioner qualification and ITIL certifications. I have also attended a Six Sigma Green Belt course.
I have delivered a business critical IT related finance project to time and under budget. I also delivered £60K total savings/year within a telephony system project. In addition to these, I was a co-winner of the 2015 ‘Dragon’s Den’ style presentation delivered to some of our Managing Directors. The prize was a £20k budget to allow start-up.
Balancing placement projects alongside the training we receive through the graduate programme and other graduate commitments e.g. Lord Digby Jones seminars.
Working with multiple suppliers and customers on a daily basis can also be a challenge.
