How To Apply

We want to recruit the brightest and best future leaders and you want to choose a company that will develop your full potential. So, to see if we are a perfect match there are a number of stages to our recruitment process and a few tests and forms for you to complete along the way.

Please note, we’re no longer accepting applications for the Engineering Leadership Programme.

The closing date for all applications is 31st March 2016.



Step 1: Situational Judgement Questionnaire (20 mins)

You will need to register on the SHL Talent Measurement website to complete the test. If you pass you will need to complete stage 2 of the process.

Step 2: Numerical Reasoning Test (20 mins)

A link will be sent to you. The test is conducted on the SHL website that you have registered with.

Step 3: Complete Online Application (45 mins)

Once we’ve received your numerical, we’ll send you a link to an application form.

All candidates need to apply using our on-line form (if you have a disability that makes this difficult please get in contact and we can arrange an alternative for you). The form will take about 45 minutes to complete, so you may like to find a quiet time to do this when you won't be disturbed.

Step 4: First Round Interview (60 mins)

If you’re successful in the reasoning tests, you’ll be invited to attend an interview at one of our UK Unipart sites, which will last around one hour. This will be with someone from the Graduate Recruitment Team and will focus on our core graduate competencies.

Steps 5 & 6: Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ) & Verbal Reasoning Test (25 & 50 mins)

If you are successful at this stage we will then invite you to a final stage assessment centre. We're very proud of our assessment centre and are confident you'll find it very different to other centres.

Prior to attending the assessment centre, you'll need to complete an Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ) and an on-line verbal reasoning test.

Step 7: The Assessment Centre (2 days)

Day one is your chance to assess us as a future employer. You will learn about Unipart, the programme and we'll show you ‘Lean’ in action and we'll also give you some Lean training. You’ll also get a chance to have dinner with our CEO and Senior Managers.

Day two is the main assessment day. You'll take part in a group exercise, have a structured interview (using the OPQ) and give a presentation based around the Lean principles you'll have learnt the day before.
